JOB SUMMARY

This person will have primary responsibility and supervision for drafting, coordinating, producing and disseminating materials in connection with quarterly and any other meetings of the Trustees of the Janus funds.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintaining trustee meeting agendas and coordinating due dates and timelines.

• Drafting minutes of board and committee meetings

• Ensuring production of materials provided to the Trustees and/or their committees. Includes drafting memos and other written materials, reviewing materials submitted as well as coordination and managing the collection of information from areas within Janus in connection with matters that are reported to the Trustees (including finance, risk management, internal audit, marketing, IT, trading, investment accounting, etc.). This includes creation and distribution of materials in hard copy, electronic or by CD.

• Coordinating with Copy Center for copying, printing and collation of board materials.

• Manage distribution of board materials to Trustees and in-house recipients.

• Responsible for maintaining appropriate records and recordkeeping of Trustee materials, Fund contracts and Fund procedures.  Includes coordination and maintaining records, as needed, of Trustee fees, expenses and deferred compensation

• Assist as necessary in managing meeting logistics and scheduling.

• Creating certain Fund contracts, execution of Fund agreements, updating Trustee meeting archives, and other post-meeting duties. This includes communicating and coordinating any follow up items internally, with the Trustees or their counsel.

• Oversee preparation and distribution of D&O Questionnaires.

• Responsible for annual MA filing for Janus Investment Fund and assist as needed in reviewing board related information that appears in Fund disclosure documents.

• Assist in providing Fund documents and other information to the Disclosure group.

• Coordinate with outside vendors to the extent necessary to obtain information requested by the Trustees.

• Coordinate as necessary with outside counsel to the Funds and the independent Trustees with respect to minutes and board materials.

• Responsible for maintaining or overseeing maintenance of current information on the Trustees’ dedicated website, internal control books and PolicyIQ.

• Responsible for maintaining current Board Group Procedures and master control schedules.

• Coordinate and respond to document production requests for internal audit or other Fund-related research.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assume additional duties as requested or assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability:

• Superior writing skill is essential, including grammar and syntax.

• Proven ability to work efficiently and effectively with colleagues and on multiple projects with tight deadlines.

• Extremely high attention to detail and accuracy and exceptional organizational skills required.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat and Power Point required.

• Must be willing to comply with the provisions of Janus' Investment Advisory Code of Ethics related to personal securities activities and other disclosure and certification requirements.

Quality Standard:  Extremely High.

Education, Formal Training, and Experience:

• Mutual fund experience required.

• College degree required.

• Experience working with a corporate or mutual fund board strongly preferred.

• Paralegal or other legal training or experience preferred.Materials and equipment directly used:

• PC usage up to 80 % of the time.

• Basic office equipment usage necessary (e.g., fax, copier, telephone).

Working Environment/Physical Activities:

• Overtime may be required on short notice.
